I had been experiencing lots of numbness in my ring and middle fingers on my right hand for about 6 months. So, after seeing Dr. McGlirk, he ruled it carpal tunnel. My surgery was scheduled for Friday the 7th. The surgery was smooth sailing. It was simple, quick and I felt good when I came out. I had to keep the dressing on for 48 hours. It hasn't been too hard really, just hard since I'm right handed. Everyone was a huge help, Shawn, my mom, my nephew really helped out.
I couldn't wait to get the dressing off last night when I got home...... GROSS!!! Things like this never usually bother me but this one is nasty looking. It's healing nicely from what I can see, I do have some bruising on my wrist and hand. I'm at work and typing so I'm sure I will be sore tonight. So, I'll ice it down. :)
Being dependent is so hard for me. I've had to rely on them a lot this weekend to help me do things. Just wanted to thank my family for helping me out.

- I've been married since September 2001. Shawn and I have 2 beautiful girls together, Briley and Lakyn. I work full-time and I'm also the V.P. of THMSA, a local softball facility in our hometown where we are very active.
