I started this blog for random thoughts to share, vent, talk about things, blow off steam and just share about me in general. Some will be totally random and make no sense, but I will be able to get things off my chest and on paper, or in this case, screen.

Briley's first Basketball game
So Briley finally had her first basketball game on Jan. 18th. It was against Chauncey Rose. I was so excited to see how the girls played as a team and how Briley did too. As I said and most know, she's not a basketball player, she's a softball player. She didn't start the game, but she did go in twice! Shawn and I were pretty impressed with her actually and how she played. She had a couple steals and I think an assist as well! All of the girls played very good, it was amazing to watch some of the girls on the team play. I guess Briley would look like those girls in softball to some parents too since she plays softball all the time.
I felt sorry for the Chauncey Rose girls. They could barely dribble the ball let alone take it down the court. Every time they passed, or tried to pass, it was stolen. We ended up winning that game 56-9. BIG win! I was glad that they won and boosted their confidence in the first game. Briley said she was very nervous but she did extremely well. I was proud of her!
Our second game was against Otter Creek, which several of our softball girls play on their team. I was anxious to watch that one on the following Thursday but, the weather didn't cooperate and all after school activities got canceled.
Now we're onto a week off of games because the 8th grade girls and boys are playing their County games this week. We watched Kayla play last night and they beat Otter Creek and play again tonight! They are very TOUGH players. It'll be exciting to watch our 6th grade girls improve like that when they are in 8th grade. For Kayla, I can't believe this is her last year of middle school and she will be a freshman next year. It just doesn't seem possible!!!! She's such a great girl though!
We resume our games next week! I can't wait. It's a Wilson game, so I'm sure it will be a great game!! So, for this week, I'm getting all of our shirts ordered. The girls designed it and I'm placing the order!!
GO BEES!
